City Cycling

I notice that many of my time-lapse sequences are of tracks away from car traffic and as a result is not totally representative of my cycling experience in Hull. Although I am doing many longer rides that take me out of the city, I frequently criss-cross the main urban centre to get to interviews.

Here is a time-lapse sequence from my cycle across town yesterday. I took photos every 2 seconds at 13.00 and again at 14.30.

Hi Kat! It’s Hannah here, Gisele’s friend.
I really like the time lapse sequences, I wondered how you are creating them from your images? Do you have a function on your camera or a handy programme on your computer? Just interested…

Hope the rest of your weekend went well, as for me, I can’t wait to take Lee to the bridge now I’ve conquered it! I’ll go with my camera this time! :-)

Hi Hannah. Glad you like the time-lapse sequence things. I use a special camera called a Go Pro that takes photos every 2, 5, 10, 20, 60 seconds. I then put them all together and edit if necessary on imovie or Final Cut Pro (if I want it to be a little more fancy). I really enjoyed the L&O ride too and the rest of the weekend was hectic was great. See you next time I’m up north.
